The Archival Knowledge Centre strengthens the team work specifically between archives and their direct user groups not via the dynamic terrain of the Internet but from closer to home: the Centre is set-up as a best practice model at the National Archives of Hungary where a dedicated research rooms offer computers giving free access to local Hugarian archival databases. A trained team looks after the users on-site and offers support regarding the ideal usage and functions of the available databases.
This type of knowledge exchange brings us to our next item of our activities’ menue – training of professionals and future generation of experts.
